CM Revanth Reddy Warns Officials on Outsourcing Salaries
CM Revanth Reddy | Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy pulled up senior Finance Department officials for delays in releasing salaries to outsourcing and contract employees.
He reminded them that he had already ordered payments through the green channel. Yet officials continued to miss deadlines.
He received reports from district sources, intelligence units, and employee unions. These reports said many workers still waited for salaries every month.
Salary Delays Trigger Fresh Review
Revanth Reddy reviewed the issue two days ago with the Finance Department, the Chief Secretary, and officers from other departments.
CM asked them why they ignored earlier instructions. Revanth Reddy said they must pay outsourcing and contract employees on time.
CM Reddy stressed that the state needed stable operations. He said timely salaries would ensure that workers stay motivated. He also said they would then deliver schemes and development programs more effectively.
Officials explained their reasons. However, the Chief Minister did not accept those explanations. He said these employees earn low wages.
CM Revanth Reddy Warns
Revanth Reddy added that any delay puts their families in hardship. He reminded officers that the government pays regular employees on the first day of every month.
CM Revanth said the same discipline must apply to temporary workers. He urged officers to streamline payments. He said payments during the first week would boost morale. He noted that motivated staff help improve service delivery.
The Chief Minister then issued clear instructions. He said all regular, contract, and outsourcing employees must receive salaries on time from next month. He warned that he would not tolerate any lapses.
He stressed that delays damage public trust. He said officials must ensure error-free execution.
Telangana has more than two lakh outsourcing workers. Many wait weeks or months for payments. They often meet senior officers and ministers to push for salary release.
Their frustration has grown in recent months. Revanth Reddy took note of this unrest. He decided to act.
CM Revanth Reddy told officers that negligence affects governance. He said accountability must improve. He added that timely salaries remain a basic responsibility. He said the government will monitor compliance closely.
