G-Shock GMC-2500 and GAC-2500 | Casio has announced two new additions to its G-Shock watch range, introducing the GMC-2500 and GAC-2500 with fully analog displays and a design inspired by the original G-Shock.
The new watches reinterpret the functional design of the DW-5000C, which launched in 1983. They retain the iconic shape while introducing softer, rounded contours and a refined appearance.
The new models feature Casio’s Multi-Mission Date function. A three-cell window at the three o’clock position displays the date, stopwatch elapsed minutes and setting information, depending on the selected function.
Users can set the year, month and day to activate a fully automatic calendar. This eliminates the need for manual date correction.

The GMC-2500 and GAC-2500 also feature a small seconds hand at the nine o’clock position. Users can stop the hand when it is not needed and restart it later.
This sleep function reduces power consumption and helps extend battery life. The watches also feature curved cases that create changing light and shadow effects, along with clearly defined dials and indexes for readability.

The GMC-2500 range includes metal-bezel models with resin straps and versions with metal bands. Available dial colours include black, blue, silver and gold.
The GAC-2500 range features resin construction and comes in black, green, white and yellow colour options. The collection offers different finishes while retaining the same design approach.
G-Shock debuted in 1983 with the DW-5000C, built around the idea of a watch that could withstand being dropped. The brand has continued to develop shock-resistant watches while introducing new designs and functions.
The new GMC-2500 and GAC-2500 models are scheduled for release in Japan on November 7, 2026. Casio has listed Japanese prices ranging from ¥20,900 to ¥49,500, depending on the model and materials. The company has not confirmed Indian pricing in its announcement.
