- IMD Hyderabad issues yellow alert for heavy rains in Telangana
- Weather forecasts link rains to two cyclone systems near Sri Lanka
India Meteorological Department (IMD) Hyderabad has forecast heavy rains across several parts of Telangana over the next two days. Officials said the state will see strong spells on Sunday, November 30, and Monday, December 1. They also issued a yellow alert for multiple districts because the expected rains may disrupt normal activity. The alert signals a need for caution, and it also urges citizens to track fresh updates.
Meanwhile, the IMD forecast comes at a time when weather patterns remain unstable across the region. The department noted that clouds may build fast and move across large parts of the state. Therefore, officials asked people in vulnerable areas to stay aware of changing conditions. They added that isolated pockets may see intense showers. The warning remains in place until further updates.
Furthermore, Telangana Weatherman, who is known for accurate predictions, also warned of rains in east and south Telangana. He said the first week of December may see widespread showers in districts close to Andhra Pradesh. His update matches the IMD forecast. It also adds more clarity to expected movement in the coming days. He wrote that two cyclone systems will influence the pattern. He said one system is near the Malacca Strait and another is near Sri Lanka. Both may strengthen cloud build-up over Telangana.
Later, he said some parts of Hyderabad may also receive rain. This may affect traffic and outdoor plans in the city. He added that the rain pattern may shift from light to moderate depending on the pull of the two systems. However, he did not predict any extreme event at this stage. The update has already drawn strong public interest because the city saw long dry spells in recent weeks.
Therefore, the next two days will remain important for officials and residents. Both IMD Hyderabad and Telangana Weatherman will continue to monitor the systems. They may issue new alerts if cloud formation increases. For now, authorities advised people to stay cautious and follow weather updates from official sources.
