Hyderabad, Dec 13 (Maxim News): World’s greatest football player Lionel Messi is on a tour of India. He visited Kolkata on Saturday morning. In view of the incident that took place there, the police in Hyderabad have taken strict vigilance. Messi’s visit to Kolkata has been postponed.
The statue was erected in Lake Town on the initiative of State Minister Sujit Bose to commemorate the occasion. The statue was formally unveiled on Saturday morning by famous footballer Messi, actor Shah Rukh Khan and another football legend Maradona.
Messi arrived at the Salt Lake Stadium in Kolkata. On this occasion, the fans were hoping that Messi would play the match, but suddenly, after a few minutes, Messi left, the fans became angry. As a result, there was a riot in the stadium.
A commotion broke out, chairs were broken and water bottles were thrown inside the stadium. After this incident, Hyderabad police went on alert. Strict arrangements were made to prevent the entry of fans into the ground and the stadium was closed.
Additional force has been deployed around the stadium. The news that Chief Minister Revanth Reddy will also play alongside Messi in the match to be held in Upal has created more excitement among the fans. That is why the police have made heavy arrangements for this match. (Maxim News)
