Vice-President Visit To Puducherry, Kerala, And Tamil Nadu

Hyderabad: The Vice-President of India, C. P. Radhakrishnan, will undertake a two-day official visit to Puducherry, Kerala and Tamil Nadu on December 29 and 30, 2025. The visit will include civic programmes, academic events, cultural festivals, and religious gatherings across the three regions.

On December 29, the Vice-President visit will begin in Puducherry with multiple official engagements. He will attend a civic reception organised in his honour. Later, he will unveil the statue of Mahakavi Bharathiar. He will also launch a housing project under the Smart City Mission in Puducherry. These programmes form part of his official schedule during the first day of the tour.

Later the same day, Shri C. P. Radhakrishnan will take part as the Chief Guest at the 30th Convocation of Pondicherry University in Puducherry. The event marks an important academic milestone for the institution. The Vice-President visit to the university highlights the importance given to higher education during the tour.

After completing engagements in Puducherry, the Vice-President will travel to Kerala. There, he will attend the Trivandrum Fest 2025. The festival is scheduled for the evening of December 29. His participation forms part of the cultural outreach planned during the visit.

On December 30, the Vice-President visit will continue in Kerala. He will participate in the 93rd Sivagiri Pilgrimage at Varkala. The pilgrimage is a major annual religious event in the state. Later, he will inaugurate the public meeting marking the conclusion of the Platinum Jubilee Celebrations of Mar Ivanios College in Thiruvananthapuram. This event will formally conclude the year-long jubilee celebrations of the institution.

Later the same day, C. P. Radhakrishnan will travel to Tamil Nadu. He will attend the valedictory ceremony of Kashi–Tamil Sangamam 4.0 in Rameswaram as the Chief Guest. The programme marks the conclusion of the fourth edition of the cultural initiative. With this event, the Vice-President visit to Puducherry, Kerala and Tamil Nadu will come to an end.
