Meanwhile, the incident of blood collection from a live goat at Sonu Mutton Shop has created a stir. It is known that when the Keesara police raided the Sonu Mutton Shop in Nagaram on the 4th of this month, 130 packets of goat blood were found. On this occasion, the police arrested three people who were collecting blood from goats. However, the police found that this blood was transported to CNK Imports and Exports in Kacheguda and from there it was used to make platelets in laboratories. It was found that the ‘goat blood mafia’ was illegally collecting blood from goats and sheep without following any medical standards and transporting it.

Based on information from the Sonu Mutton Shop owners, the lab of CNK Imports and Exports in Kacheguda was seized. Meanwhile, DCA officials seized 1,000 liters of animal blood stored in the freezers of the seized CMK lab. Officials have revealed suspicions that it is being misused in the name of medical and experimental needs.

However, the authorities have identified that this blood is being sent to the Haryana-based Pali Medicure company. The investigation is still not clear as to why such a large amount of animal blood is being collected and transported. A drug inspector said that the presence of an autoclave machine, a laminar air flow unit, in the raids conducted in Kacheguda is a cause for concern. Laminar air flow is used to transfer blood from one bag to another in a sterile environment. Due to its presence, it is clear that blood processing is taking place there. It is believed that this blood may have been used to prepare culture media used for growing bacteria, and to extract serum used for skin treatments, hair products, and vaccines. Nikesh, the main accused in the case, is absconding. If Nikesh is caught, the authorities believe that there is a possibility of complete clarity on the blood collection method and where and how much blood is being taken.

Meanwhile, the central government has taken a serious stand against a gang that is illegally collecting blood from live sheep and goats. A large-scale investigation has been launched under the auspices of the Central Drug Control. Drug control officials are expressing suspicion that clinical trials are being conducted with this blood. They said that collecting and transporting animal blood without the necessary permits is illegal. During the preliminary investigation, it was found that blood was being collected from live sheep and goats in uninhabited areas in the Keesara area. (Maxim News)
