Government Has No Intention Of Filling Coffers By Selling Lands: Ponguleti

Hyderabad, Jan 12 (Maxim News): Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy commented that his government is taking steps to protect the lands of the poor. He stated that there are 39 sub-registrar offices inside the Outer Ring Road. He said that they are being divided into 12 clusters and integrated sub-registrar offices are being constructed. He appreciated that leading construction companies have come forward to construct these.

The foundation stone for the construction of the Integrated Sub-Registrar office building was laid in Kukatpally on Monday. Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy, Malkajgiri BJP MP Eatala Rajender and Kukatpally MLA Madhavaram Krishna Rao attended the program. Speaking on the occasion, Ponguleti made it clear that money is not the priority of his government. He said that the government has no intention of selling lands to fill the treasury. He said that his government stands by the poor. The minister said that if lands are acquired for government needs anywhere, they will be given houses along with money.

Congress Govt Need To Protect Lands: Eatala

MP Eatala Rajender alleged that vacant plots in housing colonies, laid out 40 years ago, are being occupied by numbers. He said that the Congress government has not protected them and that they are being auctioned in other places. He said that if this government wants to, there will be no such thing as not protecting them. He suggested that the government should protect such lands by making parks instead of auctioning them.

He urged that police stations should not become centers for land settlement by panchayats. Etala alleged that brokers are occupying the lands given to the poor 40 years ago. He suggested that protection be provided to the lands purchased by the poor. He urged that pattas be given to the lands purchased by the poor in HMT and IDPL. The MP appealed that this government should not work for the rich but should solve the problems of the poor. (Maxim News
