A young man named Saivardhan Reddy was seriously injured when the manja hit his throat while riding a bike. The locals who noticed him immediately admitted the injured person to a private hospital. Doctors said that Saivardhan’s health is stable at present. Meanwhile, accidents are happening to birds as well as humans due to Chinese manja. People are demanding that the police increase checks and stop the sale of manja, as there is huge damage to birds, electric wires and public property.
A software engineer was seriously injured after being wrapped around a Chinese manja. Chaitanya’s hand was severed when he was caught by a Chinese manja while riding a bike from Gachibowli to Hafeezpet. On the way, he was seriously injured when a Chinese manja hanging from an electric pole in a mall market on Sagar Highway hit his fingers. The locals who spotted him informed the Yacharam police.
