15 People Arrested In Bhu Bharati Scam

Yadagirigutta/Hyderabad, Jan 17 (Maxim News): There is a big stir in Telangana over the Dharani and Bhu Bharati illegal registration scam. According to the details announced by Warangal Commissioner Sunpreet Singh, the police have arrested 15 people in this incident and 9 others are absconding. Basava Raju and Jella Pandu have been identified as the main accused.

Illegal registrations were carried out in Jangaon and Yadadri districts. Frauds were committed through online service centers in Yadagirigutta, causing a loss of Rs. 3.90 crore to the government. The police recovered Rs. 63.19 lakh in cash from the accused and seized Rs. 1 lakh from bank accounts.

The police have also seized valuable property documents, cars, laptops, desktops and cellphones. Special teams are continuing their search to nab the absconding accused. Officials have warned that more arrests are likely in the Dharani-Bhu Bharati case. (Maxim News)
