BRS Slams SIT Notices to Harish Rao in Phone Tapping Case

Party leaders said the move aimed to divert public attention from governance failures.

Former minister Mahmood Ali said the Congress government resorted to conspiracies as it failed to implement its six guarantees promised before the elections.

He alleged the government lacked moral authority to face the public and was using the Phone Tapping Case to buy time. He added that BRS had full faith in the judiciary.

BRS MLA KP Vivekanand Goud stated that the case lacked credible evidence and termed it illegal. He alleged the government was misusing its time to harass opposition leaders.

He said BRS would continue questioning the government on its unfulfilled guarantees and administrative failures.

Senior BRS leader Palla Rajeshwar Reddy recalled that both the High Court and Supreme Court had earlier clarified that Harish Rao had no role in the Phone Tapping Case.

He alleged the issue was revived to divert attention from major scandals, including the coal scam, which Harish Rao had highlighted earlier.

MLC Dasyoju Sravan Kumar accused Chief Minister Revanth Reddy of targeting Harish Rao out of political frustration.

He said the notices were a return gift for raising public issues over the last six months. He alleged the government had been using the Phone Tapping Case as a political tool to mislead people.

The BRS leadership maintained that the party would face the case legally and continue opposing what it called misuse of investigative agencies for political purposes. (Maxim News)
