Hyderabad, July 12: Rajya Sabha MP Raghav Chadha urged youth participation and stronger domestic AI manufacturing at a Young FICCI Ladies Organisation session in Hyderabad.
The Young FICCI Ladies Organisation Hyderabad chapter hosted the session on July 11 at HICC. Over 450 YFLO and FLO members and spouses attended. Khushboo Daga, YFLO Chairperson, interviewed Chadha. He traced his entry into politics from the 2010–11 anti-corruption movement. He said politics found him despite a nonpolitical family background. He recalled that he once trained to be a chartered accountant before politics changed his path.
Chadha said Parliament time is limited, so he focuses on everyday issues. He cited consumer rights, airport pricing, gig worker welfare, and GST simplification as topics he raised. He said several of his interventions fed into wider policy discussions.
On technology, Chadha warned that geopolitical power is shifting toward artificial intelligence. He said India is mainly an AI consumer and must build domestic AI manufacturing capacity. He highlighted global GPU supply concentration, noting NVIDIA’s chip designs and TSMC’s manufacturing role. He urged India to reduce dependence on a few firms and countries.
Chadha stressed the need for younger lawmakers. He noted that nearly 65 percent of India’s population is under 35 and the median age is about 28 years. He called for more youth participation while valuing experience from senior leaders.
On social media he separated messaging from amplification. He said messaging builds narrative; social media spreads it quickly. Earlier messages took a day; now they can travel nationwide in seconds.
Khushboo Daga said YFLO aims to bring influential voices to members. She called Chadha part of a new generation of political leadership and said the session offered practical perspectives on governance and public policy.
