Devotees Flock To Medaram: Governors Arrival Today
Medaram/Hyderabad, Jan 30 (Maxim News): Sammakka and Saralamma were present at the Medaram Maha Jatara. In this context, devotees thronged the shrines on Friday to pay homage to the forest deities. Due to this, the control of devotees became severe at one stage. On the other hand, Telangana Governor Jishnu Dev Verma will pay homage to Sammakka and Saralamma in Medaram today. Senior officials are making appropriate arrangements for this. Several central and state ministers have already attended this jatara and paid homage to the forest deities.
This fair, which started on the 28th of this month, will end on the 31st. On the other hand, the power supply was stopped in many areas where the fair is taking place on Thursday night. Due to this, the devotees were very impatient. At the same time, Minister Adluri Lakshan Kumar was also there. Along with the windows of his car, the devotees destroyed local shops. Also, the police were negligent in controlling the crowd of devotees. There was criticism that they were all showing great enthusiasm in serving VVIPs and police families. Due to this, the devotees who came to the fair are facing great difficulties.
As part of the Medaram festival, Saralamma and Sammakkalu reached the throne on Wednesday and Thursday. With this, a key event in the Medaram fair has been unveiled. Devotees have been paying obeisance to the goddesses since Thursday midnight. On Thursday, Deputy CM Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, Union Ministers Kishan Reddy and Jewel Oram broke the Medaram and paid obeisance to the village deities. VIPs and VVIPs are flocking to this fair in large numbers. In this context, 25 IPS officers led by IG Chandrasekhar Reddy are supervising the security arrangements there.
