Union Budget 2026 27 | Hyderabad, Feb 1: The Union Budget 2026 27, to be presented by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, is expected to feature a major structural shift with enhanced focus on Part B of the budget speech, according to government sources.
Traditionally, Part A of the budget speech outlined the economic review and broad policy direction, while Part B remained limited to tax proposals and technical details.
However, this time the government plans to reverse that emphasis and make Part B the main policy platform.
Officials indicated that the Finance Minister is likely to devote unusually extended time to Part B. The section may outline both immediate policy actions and long term economic priorities in detail.
Union Budget 2026 27 to highlight reforms roadmap in Part B
Sources said the new approach aims to present a clear roadmap as India advances deeper into the 21st century. Key questions such as national priorities, leveraging domestic strengths, and boosting global competitiveness are expected to be addressed.
The budget speech is likely to focus on manufacturing, trade, and exports. It may also highlight India’s existing capabilities and future opportunities in these sectors.
Policymakers believe this clarity will help investors and markets understand the government’s reform direction.
Officials noted that economic experts and global policy analysts are expected to closely track the Union Budget 2026 27 for signals on reforms. Internally, the government is reportedly referring to the budget as a reform driven blueprint.
The shift reflects the Centre’s intent to use the budget as a strategic communication tool rather than a routine financial statement.
Further details are expected when the budget is presented in Parliament.
