Mahesh Kumar Goud Slams BRS Over Phone Tapping Case

Speaking to the media, Mahesh Kumar Goud alleged that BRS stands for “Blackmail Rashtra Samithi.” He said investigations are underway into the alleged misuse of power during the BRS’s ten-year rule. According to him, leaders involved in the phone tapping case are now facing official inquiries.

He described phone tapping as a serious crime. He pointed out that leaders like KTR, Harish Rao, and Santosh Rao have already appeared before the SIT. Therefore, he questioned why BRS leaders are creating unnecessary hype around KCR’s questioning.

KCR Followed a Feudal Style of Governance

Mahesh Kumar Goud said portraying KCR as innocent and above the law is laughable. He accused KCR of believing in a feudal style of governance. However, he stressed that the law treats everyone equally.

He added that blaming the system when the law takes its natural course is unfortunate. “The law has no relatives,” he remarked. He also recalled that several former Chief Ministers, including Shibu Soren, Mayawati, Jayalalithaa, Lalu Prasad Yadav, and Yeddyurappa, had faced investigations in the past.

Allegations of Illegal Phone Tapping

Mahesh Kumar Goud stated that the Telegraph Act permits phone tapping only during emergency situations. However, he alleged that the BRS government violated these rules.

He claimed that the government tapped the phones of industrialists and film personalities and used the information for blackmail. He further alleged that phone tapping intruded into the private lives of married couples.

Finally, he asserted that anyone involved in illegal phone tapping must face punishment, regardless of their position or influence. (Maxim News)
