Car Plunges Into Sagar Canal, Wife’s Body Found

A car plunged into the left canal of Sagar in Nalgonda district, triggering a search operation that continued on Sunday. The incident occurred on Saturday night near Mukundapuram in Nidamanoor mandal. Later, police recovered the vehicle and found the body of a woman inside. However, the search for her husband remained underway.

According to the available details, the couple involved were identified as Pullaiah and Padma. They hailed from Kampasagar in Tripuraram mandal. After the car plunged into the canal, both went missing. Meanwhile, officials launched search efforts to trace them and recover the vehicle from the water.

On Sunday morning, rescue teams pulled the car out of the canal with the help of a crane. During the inspection, police found Padma’s body inside the vehicle. Therefore, authorities confirmed her death at the spot. However, they did not find Pullaiah in or around the car at that time.

The search for Pullaiah continued as officials combed the canal and nearby areas. Police said efforts were ongoing to trace his whereabouts. Meanwhile, it emerged that the driver of the car escaped unhurt in the incident. The accident had taken place late on Saturday night, and officials continued operations into Sunday.

The incident has drawn attention due to the sudden nature of the crash and the ongoing search. Police and rescue teams remained at the site, coordinating efforts to locate the missing man. Further details were awaited as the operation continued in Nalgonda district.
