Hyderabad, Feb 13: BRS wins Gaddapotharam Municipality in Sangareddy district after securing a clear majority in the municipal election results.
As a result, the party gained control of the civic body.
Out of 18 wards, the Bharat Rashtra Samithi secured 10 wards. Therefore, the party crossed the majority mark comfortably in the council. Party leaders expressed confidence after the decisive outcome.
Meanwhile, the Congress party won three wards in the municipality. In addition, an Independent candidate secured victory in one ward. Counting officials declared the results ward wise amid tight security.
BRS Wins Gaddapotharam Municipality with Majority
With 10 seats in its account, BRS established dominance in the 18 member municipal council. Consequently, the party will form the municipal administration in Gaddapotharam.
Election authorities conducted the counting process under police supervision. Furthermore, officials ensured peaceful proceedings at the counting centre.
The victory strengthens BRS presence in Sangareddy district. At the same time, other parties are assessing their performance in the municipality.
The BRS wins Gaddapotharam Municipality outcome adds to the party’s tally in the ongoing municipal results across Telangana. Officials will complete formal procedures for constituting the new municipal body in the coming days.
