New Delhi / Hyderabad, Feb. 20 (Maxim News): State Planning Commission Vice Chairman Dr. G. Chinna Reddy met AICC President and Leader of Opposition in the Rajya Sabha, Mallikarjun Kharge, on Friday at Indira Bhavan in New Delhi.
During the meeting, Chinna Reddy presented a bouquet to Kharge and briefed him on the latest political developments in Telangana.
Chinna Reddy informed Kharge that under the leadership of Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, the Congress party secured nearly 70 percent of Sarpanch seats and around 90 percent of seats in the recent municipal elections.
Reddy expressed confidence that the party would continue the same momentum in the upcoming MPTC and ZPTC elections, as well as in any future polls.
Chinna Reddy also stated that Kharge appreciated the collective efforts of Congress leaders and public representatives in strengthening the party in Telangana.
During the discussion, Chinna Reddy reminded Kharge about the assurance given to him during the Assembly elections two years ago.
Chinna Reddy recalled that when he returned the party B-form for the Wanaparthy constituency, the leadership had assured him of an opportunity in the Rajya Sabha.
Chinna Reddy requested the AICC chief to honour the commitment made to him by the party leadership. (Maxim News)
