Hyderabad: Telangana Jagruthi president Kavitha announced a plan to form a new party from Nadigadda in Gadwala, Jogulamba district. She said she will begin the new political journey from Gadwala and also contest the upcoming MPTC and ZPTC elections. She made these remarks while addressing a farmers protest meeting in Jogulamba.
Kavitha to Contest MPTC, ZPTC Elections
Speaking at the farmers protest meeting, Kavitha said she will start every programme from Gadwala. She also said she will contest the MPTC and ZPTC elections to prove her sincerity. Moreover, she stated that she will field a candidate in every mandal. According to her, the people of Nadigadda are honest people.
Kavitha stressed that agriculture cannot progress without women. Therefore, she underlined the need to support women in the farming sector. She also demanded that the seed cotton dues be paid within a week. Meanwhile, she raised concerns about pending payments and farmer issues in the region.
Kavitha Criticizes BRS, Raises Water Issue
During her speech, Kavitha criticized the BRS and alleged that it had cheated Nadigadda. She pointed out that despite the presence of the Krishna and Tungabhadra rivers, water is not reaching Nadigadda. She questioned whether there are any new leaders here except the mother-in-law and son-in-law.
Furthermore, she asked what happened to the Rs. 2500 promised by the government. She questioned where the promised amount had gone. Later, she said that Jagruti will fight for the farmers and stand by their issues.
