Kurdish region/Internet/Hyderabad, Mar 10 (Maxim News): Tensions continue to rise in West Asia. In this context, a drone attack was carried out on the UAE consulate in the Kurdish region of Iraq. These attacks took place just hours after the UAE commented that it had been unnecessarily embroiled in this war. Officials revealed that the consulate was slightly damaged in the attack. They said that there were no casualties. The UAE Foreign Ministry strongly condemned these attacks. It criticized that targeting embassies and premises is a violation of international laws.
The UAE government condemned the attack but did not say who carried it out. On the other hand, the UAE expressed deep dissatisfaction over the targeting of its country in the ongoing war between the US, Israel and Iran. It was outraged that it was being unnecessarily dragged into this war. It made it clear that it was not attacking Iran and did not intend to enter the war.
The UAE consulate in Iraq was targeted hours after the remarks. Meanwhile, the UAE is preparing to increase its military capabilities in the face of ongoing tensions in the Middle East. Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese said that they are sending their missiles and aircraft to the region as a precautionary measure. He said that they are sending an E7A wedgetail flight made by the Boeing company, which will monitor the airspace of the Gulf countries for four weeks. (Maxim News)
