According to the IMD, moist winds moving from the southeast are influencing atmospheric conditions over Telangana. These moisture-laden winds are expected to trigger scattered showers in many districts next week. Therefore, weather officials expect rainfall activity to gradually increase during this period.

Meanwhile, meteorologists said northern districts could witness heavy rainfall on March 15 and March 16. Because of the possibility of intense rain and thunderstorms, authorities issued a yellow alert for several districts. The districts include Adilabad, Kumuram Bheem Asifabad, Mancherial, Nirmal, Nizamabad, Jagtial, Rajanna Sircilla, Karimnagar, Peddapalli, Jayashankar Bhupalpally, Mulugu, and Bhadradri Kothagudem.

Officials advised residents in these areas to remain cautious. Thunderstorms may occur along with lightning and gusty winds during the forecast period. Therefore, people should stay alert and follow official weather updates.

Over the past few days, maximum temperatures in Telangana ranged between 33°C and 40°C. These conditions created warm and dry weather across most districts. However, meteorologists believe the expected rainfall could bring temporary relief from rising heat levels.

At the same time, the IMD said temperatures may remain mostly unchanged for the next two days. Later, cooling could occur once rainfall begins. According to the Hyderabad weather centre, low-level winds across the state are currently blowing from the south and southeast. These winds are carrying moisture into the region and slowly altering the weather pattern.

Earlier, a trough system stretching from parts of Bihar to northern Chhattisgarh influenced weather conditions. However, officials said the system has now weakened. Meanwhile, dry weather is expected to continue on Saturday before rainfall activity increases in the following days.

Authorities also noted that district administrations may consider declaring school holidays if heavy rain, thunderstorms, or water logging occur. However, no official announcement has been made yet. Parents and students should therefore follow updates from district collectors and local education departments.

Weather experts expect rainfall to begin around midMarch with scattered showers continuing for several days. While the rain may ease the heat, sudden storms and lightning remain possible in several districts.
