Hyderabad, March 26: Tummala Nageswara Rao said that Chief Minister Revanth Reddy will visit Bhadrachalam and present silk clothes to Sri Seetha Ramachandra Swamy. He said the Chief Minister will also offer pearl turbans to the deity on behalf of the government.
He said that funds have been sanctioned for the development of the Sri Seetha Ramachandra Swamy Temple in Bhadrachalam. He added that the Chief Minister will lay the foundation stone for the first phase of works costing Rs. 351 crore. Meanwhile, a master plan has been prepared to develop Bhadrachalam city along with the temple in three phases at a total cost of Rs. 586 crore.
The minister said that on the occasion of Sri Ram Navami, the Swami’s wedding will be held at the Mithila Kalyana Mandapam in Bhadrachalam. He inspected the arrangements for the event. He also said that the Chief Minister will arrive on Friday and will receive a grand welcome from the people.
Meanwhile, he said that steps are being taken to improve connectivity for devotees. He mentioned plans for national highways, railway links, and an airport. He said these steps aim to make travel easier for those visiting Bhadrachalam.
He also expressed hope that a navigation system can be set up in the Godavari after the completion of the Polavaram project. He said that preparations are underway to organize the Godavari Pushkaram next year in a grand manner. He further said that steps have been taken to ensure that devotees watching the Sita Rama marriage do not face any inconvenience. He directed temple officials and staff to make proper arrangements.
