The conflict between Iran and Israel is already escalating. Meanwhile, the United States has stated that it is ready for talks with Iran. However, at the same time, US President Donald Trump is deploying military power in the region. Therefore, this dual approach has raised doubts about Washington’s intentions.

According to available information, the advanced amphibious warship USS Tripoli has reached West Asia. It reportedly carries about 2,500 Marines. The US Central Command has also stated on X that the total number of additional forces deployed in the region has crossed 3,500. This marks a significant military buildup.

Meanwhile, observers say that this is the first time in 20 years that such a large number of US forces have been deployed in West Asia. The USS Tripoli was earlier stationed off the coast of Japan. It was then moved urgently to the Middle East two weeks ago. It is also capable of deploying several warplanes, including F-35 fighter jets.

Along with USS Tripoli, the warship USS Boxer and other naval units from San Diego have reached the region. Therefore, reports suggest that the United States may be preparing for a ground attack on Iran. This possibility has further increased tensions.

Meanwhile, Iran has issued a strong warning. The English-language newspaper Tehran Times carried a front-page headline stating, “Welcome to Hell”. It warned that any US soldier entering Iranian soil would return in a coffin. This statement has added to the intensity of the situation.

Iran remains cautious about US intentions. It does not trust the United States due to past experiences. It believes that talks may be used as a cover for military action. Therefore, Iran is focusing on preparing to counter any ground attack.

There are also reports that thousands of US troops have already been deployed in the Gulf. It is said that around 2,000 soldiers from the 82nd Airborne Division are part of this deployment. Meanwhile, Iran is strengthening its preparations by studying US military strategies used in past wars.

Military analysts believe that Iran is preparing for a prolonged ground conflict. They say that the country has kept advanced weapons ready. Therefore, if a ground war begins, it could lead to heavy losses on both sides.
