Gas cylinder | Hyderabad, April 2 (Maxim News): Gas cylinders exploded in Sai Nagar Colony under the Shamshabad RGIA Police Station limits, creating panic in the area.
However, since the incident happened when no one was present, a major tragedy was avoided.
A group of construction workers had built temporary tin sheet rooms in an open area of Sai Nagar Colony. They have been living there while working as daily labourers.
On Thursday morning, the workers locked their rooms and left for work. Later in the afternoon, intense heat reportedly increased the temperature inside the tin sheds. As a result, the gas cylinders kept inside exploded with loud blast-like sounds.

The explosions also triggered a fire. Fortunately, no one was present at that time.
Therefore, no injuries or deaths were reported. Locals said the situation could have been dangerous if the incident had occurred at night.
After hearing the blasts, local residents alerted the fire department. Fire engines reached the spot quickly and put out the flames. Because of the quick response, the fire did not spread further.
Later, local police also reached the area and started an investigation. Officials are now trying to confirm the exact cause of the explosions.
Overall, residents said they felt relieved as a major accident was narrowly avoided. (Maxim News)
