Hyderabad witnessed a major development in the entertainment technology sector with the launch of Netflix Eyeline Studios in the city. Chief Minister Revanth Reddy inaugurated the facility on Thursday and invited the global streaming giant Netflix to establish its corporate office in the upcoming Bharat Future City.

The new Netflix Eyeline Studios facility is described as a world class hub for visual effects and virtual production. It will support films and web series produced by the platform across the world. Officials said the launch marks an important step for Hyderabad’s growing presence in the Animation, Visual Effects, Gaming and Comics sector.

Several key personalities attended the event. IT and Industries Minister D. Sridhar Babu was present at the launch ceremony. Actor Rana Daggubati also attended the programme. Jeff Shapiro, CEO of Netflix’s Eyeline Studios, joined the event along with senior Netflix executives. Sanjay Jaju, Secretary of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India, and Special Secretary to the Chief Minister B. Ajith Reddy also participated.

Chief Minister Revanth Reddy described the launch as a major milestone for the city’s creative ecosystem. He said the establishment of Netflix Eyeline Studios reflects Hyderabad’s growing prominence in the global entertainment and AVGC sector. “The launch of Netflix’s Eyeline Studios marks the arrival of Hollywood in Hyderabad,” Revanth Reddy said.

Meanwhile, the Chief Minister recalled his fascination with cinema since childhood and spoke about the transformation of filmmaking technology over the years. He expressed hope that the new facility would support Telugu filmmakers and strengthen Hyderabad’s role as a hub for advanced digital production.

Netflix officials said the company selected Hyderabad due to the state government’s forward looking policy environment and the strong ecosystem for media, technology and creative talent. The new studio is expected to boost the city’s AVGC sector and support advanced skill development initiatives. It is also expected to create high quality employment opportunities for creative and technical professionals.

During the event, Revanth Reddy also invited Netflix to establish its corporate office in Bharat Future City. “We invite Netflix to set up its corporate office in Bharat Future City. We are ready to extend all possible support. Hyderabad is a natural home for Netflix,” he said.

The Chief Minister explained that Bharat Future City is envisioned as a futuristic hub that will host several Fortune 500 companies. He also spoke about plans to develop a dedicated Entertainment Zone and AI City in the project.

He further said that while Netflix connects global talent and content for audiences worldwide, Hyderabad is emerging as a city that connects opportunities and talent at a global level. According to him, the Eyeline Studios facility will encourage the creation of more global content that showcases Telangana to international audiences.

Revanth Reddy also mentioned that the state government is focusing on developing sports infrastructure. He said the government plans to establish a sports university as part of Telangana’s broader development vision.
