Delhi/Hyderabad, April 26 (Maxim News) An incident of a fire broke out at Delhi Airport due to a problem in the plane’s engine during takeoff. Six passengers were injured in the incident. The six were taken to the hospital by the authorities. A SWISS flight was preparing to depart for Zurich, Switzerland, from Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport in the early hours of Sunday morning. The plane suddenly caught fire due to a technical problem in the engine during takeoff.
The plane was immediately stopped and the passengers were deplaned. Officials said that six passengers were injured while deplaning using emergency equipment. They were taken to the hospital and are receiving treatment. They said that there were 232 passengers, including the crew, on board the plane at the time of the incident. They said that they have made accommodation arrangements for the passengers. They revealed that steps are being taken to take them to their destinations on another plane soon. (Maxim News)
