Hyderabad, April 29 (Maxim News): Telangana Civil Supplies Minister Uttam Kumar Reddy said people need not worry about petrol and diesel stocks in the state. He urged the public not to believe rumours about fuel shortage.
Speaking to the media in Hyderabad, the minister said all petrol bunks in Telangana have enough fuel stocks. He added that the government is in constant touch with oil companies.
Therefore, officials have taken steps to ensure there is no disruption in supply anywhere in the state.
Telangana Fuel Stocks Under Close Watch
Uttam Kumar Reddy said the government has given priority to farm needs. Accordingly, he assured that farmers will not face any diesel shortage during agricultural operations.
He also announced that the state has set up a Special Control Room to monitor fuel supply round the clock.
If people face supply issues, or if anyone creates an artificial shortage, they can call the toll free number 1967 and file a complaint.
Moreover, the minister said monitoring committees have been formed in every district under the supervision of collectors.
These committees will regularly check fuel stocks and supply status at petrol bunks.
In addition, officials have been directed to tighten surveillance at interstate borders to stop illegal transport of petrol and diesel.
The minister also appealed to people not to rush to petrol bunks after seeing false messages on social media.
Instead, he asked citizens to trust official updates from the government.
Uttam Kumar Reddy said the Telangana government has full control over fuel supply and is ready to handle any situation.
He added that there is no need for panic buying or long queues at filling stations.
