GHMC Earns ₹441.88 Crore From Early Bird Property Tax Scheme

Hyderabad, May 2: The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) has generated ₹441.88 crore in revenue through its ‘Early Bird’ property tax scheme for the financial year 2026–27, reflecting strong taxpayer participation.

Strong Response From Taxpayers

According to official data:

  • 3,57,234 PTINs (Property Tax Identification Numbers) were cleared
  • Taxpayers availed ₹23.25 crore in rebates under the scheme
  • Collections were achieved within just 30 days (April)

Compared to last year:

  • 2025–26 collections: ₹416.68 crore
  • 2026–27 collections: ₹441.88 crore

This shows a noticeable increase in early compliance.

Zone-Wise Collection Highlights

Among GHMC zones:

  • Khairatabad Zone topped with ₹220.15 crore
  • Secunderabad Zone: ₹61.22 crore
  • Golconda Zone: ₹56.85 crore
  • Rajendranagar Zone: ₹41.88 crore
  • Shamshabad Zone: ₹32.10 crore
  • Charminar Zone recorded the lowest at ₹29.68 crore
