Hyderabad, May 2: The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) has generated ₹441.88 crore in revenue through its ‘Early Bird’ property tax scheme for the financial year 2026–27, reflecting strong taxpayer participation.
Strong Response From Taxpayers
According to official data:
- 3,57,234 PTINs (Property Tax Identification Numbers) were cleared
- Taxpayers availed ₹23.25 crore in rebates under the scheme
- Collections were achieved within just 30 days (April)
Compared to last year:
- 2025–26 collections: ₹416.68 crore
- 2026–27 collections: ₹441.88 crore
This shows a noticeable increase in early compliance.
Zone-Wise Collection Highlights
Among GHMC zones:
- Khairatabad Zone topped with ₹220.15 crore
- Secunderabad Zone: ₹61.22 crore
- Golconda Zone: ₹56.85 crore
- Rajendranagar Zone: ₹41.88 crore
- Shamshabad Zone: ₹32.10 crore
- Charminar Zone recorded the lowest at ₹29.68 crore

The Early Bird scheme encourages citizens to pay property tax in advance by offering rebates.
