Hyderabad, May 3: Cyberabad police reshuffle saw the transfer of 65 Circle Inspectors across the commissionerate, marking a major administrative move. The decision comes a day after C V Anand assumed charge as the new Director General of Police.
Officials said the reshuffle aims to strengthen law and order at the ground level. At the same time, the department seeks to improve transparency and efficiency in policing. Therefore, authorities initiated large scale transfers within the force.
According to official orders, the transfers cover multiple police stations under the Cyberabad Commissionerate. The move signals the beginning of broader changes expected across the state police system.
Cyberabad police reshuffle targets efficiency and accountability
Ramesh Reddy issued the transfer orders for the 65 Circle Inspectors. Sources said many officers had been serving in the same locations for a long time. Hence, the department decided to reassign them for administrative convenience.
Officials added that performance also played a key role in the reshuffle. As a result, officers received postings based on operational needs and service records. The aim is to ensure better policing outcomes across all zones.

Moreover, the move aligns with the new DGP’s focus on discipline and accountability. Earlier, he had directed officers to prioritize field duties and public safety. This reshuffle reflects that approach at the operational level.
Police sources expect more transfers in the coming days. The department is likely to continue restructuring to enhance efficiency. Consequently, further changes may be announced across other commissionerates as well.
The Cyberabad police reshuffle marks a significant step toward administrative reform. Authorities believe such measures will improve service delivery and strengthen public trust in the police system.
