Hyderabad, May 3: Unidentified man dies by suicide under Telangana Express at Secunderabad Railway Station on Sunday morning, police said. The incident occurred as the Telangana Express was arriving at Platform No 1.
According to officials, the man suddenly came onto the tracks and fell under the moving train. As a result, he died on the spot due to severe injuries. The impact caused the body to be cut into two parts, confirming the intensity of the incident.
Police stated that the identity of the deceased remains unknown. However, they found a tattoo reading “Pallavi” on his right hand. This detail may help in identification efforts.
Moreover, officials shared basic physical details of the deceased. He was about 5.6 feet tall and wore a green and white checked full sleeve shirt along with blue jeans. Despite these clues, no documents were found on him.
Following the incident, the Government Railway Police registered a case and started an investigation. Authorities are now working to establish the identity and inform family members.
Meanwhile, police urged the public to assist in the identification process. They requested anyone with relevant information to contact the Secunderabad GRP Inspector or the investigating officer through the provided phone numbers.
The incident caused brief concern at the station. However, railway operations continued without major disruption. Officials reiterated the importance of safety near railway tracks and warned against trespassing.
