Modi Hyderabad Visit | Hyderabad, May 10: Narendra Modi will visit Telangana on Sunday for the first time after assuming office as Prime Minister for a third consecutive term.
During the visit, he will launch and inaugurate projects worth Rs 9,377 crore and later address a massive BJP public meeting in Hyderabad.
The Prime Minister’s visit has gained political significance after the BJP registered strong victories in the recent elections held in four states and one Union Territory. Consequently, BJP leaders are treating the Hyderabad tour as a prestigious event and have intensified preparations for the public meeting at Parade Grounds.
Party workers installed banners, arches, cutouts and flex boards across Hyderabad. In addition, BJP leaders are mobilising large crowds for the evening meeting.
Modi Hyderabad Visit | Busy schedule planned for Modi in Hyderabad
According to the official schedule, Modi will arrive from Bengaluru at Begumpet Airport on Sunday afternoon in a special aircraft.
The Prime Minister will spend more than three hours in Hyderabad and participate in multiple official and political programmes.
After arriving, Modi will travel by road to Hyderabad International Convention Centre. There, he will virtually inaugurate, dedicate and lay foundation stones for development projects worth Rs 9,377 crore.
The projects include national highway works, railway infrastructure projects, industrial development initiatives and other major public infrastructure programmes in Telangana.
A. Revanth Reddy, Union Ministers G. Kishan Reddy and Bandi Sanjay Kumar, several state ministers and senior officials will attend the official programme.
Sources said both Modi and Revanth Reddy are expected to address the gathering at HICC.
Later, the Prime Minister will visit Gachibowli and inaugurate Sai Sindhu Hospital.
Modi to meet Chandrababu and Pawan Kalyan
Another major highlight of the visit is Modi’s scheduled meetings with Andhra Pradesh leaders.
After the hospital inauguration, Modi will visit the Hyderabad residence of N. Chandrababu Naidu. BJP leaders described the meeting as a courtesy visit.
The Prime Minister will also meet Pawan Kalyan at his residence in Hyderabad.
According to sources, Modi plans to personally enquire about Pawan Kalyan’s health after his recent surgery. Reports also suggest that actor Chiranjeevi may meet the Prime Minister during the visit.
Political observers said Modi’s meetings with both Chandrababu Naidu and Pawan Kalyan during the Hyderabad tour have attracted significant attention in political circles.
Massive BJP public meeting at Parade Grounds
In the evening, Modi will address a large BJP public meeting at Parade Grounds. The BJP leadership expects a huge turnout for the event.
Security agencies and Hyderabad police have made elaborate arrangements across the city. Officials deployed heavy security and traffic management teams to avoid inconvenience and ensure smooth movement during the Prime Minister’s visit.
