fatal road accident | Hyderabad, May 11: A tragic road accident claimed five lives, including two children, near Palakonda crossroads in Mahabubnagar on Sunday night.
According to police, the accident occurred when a speeding sports bike rammed into a car that was taking a U turn at the junction.
The impact of the collision was severe and triggered panic among local residents.

Police identified the deceased as Arshiya Begum, her children Huzaifa and Amar, along with biker Yakub Afzal and another unidentified person.
Officials said Arshiya Begum and the two children belonged to the same family.
Meanwhile, Yakub Afzal was reportedly travelling on the sports bike from Hyderabad at the time of the accident.
Locals claimed that the bike was moving at nearly 140 kilometres per hour before the collision occurred.
Soon after the accident, police reached the spot and shifted the bodies for postmortem examination.
Authorities registered a case and launched an investigation to determine the exact cause of the accident.
Police are also examining CCTV footage and eyewitness accounts as part of the probe. More details are awaited.
