Hyderabad, May 13: Paddy MSP hiked to Rs 2441 for Kharif 2026 27 as the Union Cabinet approved revised support prices for key crops.
The meeting was chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Delhi on Wednesday. The government increased MSP to ensure better returns for farmers.
Under the decision, paddy MSP was fixed at Rs 2,441 per quintal. For Grade A paddy, the MSP was set at Rs 2,461 per quintal.

The government also raised MSP for other crops. Jowar MSP was fixed at Rs 4,023 per quintal. Bajra MSP was set at Rs 2,900 per quintal.
Officials said the move aims to ensure remunerative prices for farmers. It also seeks to support agricultural income during the Kharif season.
Meanwhile, sunflower seeds saw the highest MSP increase. The rate rose by Rs 622 per quintal over last year.
Cotton MSP increased by Rs 557 per quintal. Niger seed saw a rise of Rs 515 per quintal. Sesame MSP increased by Rs 500 per quintal.
Overall, the paddy MSP hike forms part of a broader effort to strengthen farm incomes. The government expects the move to support farmers across the country.
