Red Fort Bomb Blast Case NIA Files Chargesheet Against 10 People

Hyderabad, May 14: Red Fort bomb blast case saw the NIA file a 7500 page chargesheet against 10 accused in connection with the deadly 2025 explosion in Delhi.

The blast occurred near the Red Fort on November 10, 2025. It killed 11 people and injured several others. The explosion caused major damage and triggered a nationwide alert.

The National Investigation Agency said all accused were linked to Ansar Ghazwat ul Hind. The group is considered an offshoot of Al Qaeda in the Indian Subcontinent.

The chargesheet names 10 accused, including alleged mastermind Umer Un Nabi, who died in the blast. Charges against him are proposed to be abated.

Others named include Aamir Rashid Mir, Jasir Bilal Wani, Muzamil Shakeel, Adeel Ahmed Rather, Shaheen Saeed, Irfan Ahmad Wagay, Soyab, Bilal Naseer Malla and Yasir Ahmad Dar.

The case has been filed under multiple laws. These include the Unlawful Activities Prevention Act, Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, Explosive Substances Act and Arms Act.

The NIA said the probe covered several states. It included Jammu and Kashmir, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, Gujarat and Delhi NCR.

Investigators recorded 588 witness statements. They also collected over 395 documents and seized more than 200 exhibits.

The agency said the accused were influenced by extremist ideology. They allegedly regrouped in Srinagar in 2022 after a failed attempt to travel abroad.

Officials said the group revived its network under a new banner. They allegedly planned a wider conspiracy to carry out attacks in India.

The probe found that the accused used Triacetone Triperoxide for the blast. It is a highly volatile explosive substance.

The agency also found evidence of arms procurement. These included rifles, pistols and ammunition.

Officials said the group planned further attacks using drones and rockets. However, the network was dismantled during the investigation.

So far, 11 people have been arrested in the case. Efforts are ongoing to trace other suspects linked to the conspiracy.
