Officials identified two birth certificates with different dates. One record shows August 12, 2008, while another lists August 12, 2010. The variation has become a key issue in the case.

Sai Bhageerath has approached the court seeking relief. He is the son of Union Minister Bandi Sanjay Kumar.

Investigators also examined a 2021 case in Nirmal district. Court records in that matter reportedly stated the girl was 15 at the time.

Officials are expected to present these documents before the Telangana High Court. The defence argues that the complainant is not a minor.
