Hyderabad, May 14: Telangana Governor reduces convoy following PM call as fuel saving measures are implemented amid global concerns.
Jishnu Dev Varma said the move supports the message given by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on fuel conservation.
The Governor stated that vehicle numbers in the official convoy have been cut. He added that around half the vehicles at Lok Bhavan have already been reduced.

The Governor also urged wider implementation of the initiative. He asked Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, ministers, and officials to follow similar measures.
In addition, he suggested promoting the message in schools and colleges. Authorities are expected to take steps to spread awareness on fuel conservation.
The move aligns with broader efforts to encourage efficient energy use. Officials said such measures can contribute to long term savings.
