Hyderabad, May 17: Traffic diversions and temporary bus stop changes came into effect from Sunday due to flyover pillar works for the Uppal to Narapally Elevated Corridor project.
Officials said buses travelling towards Warangal, Hanumakonda and Yadagirigutta will no longer stop near the Uppal GHMC Office. Instead, the buses will halt at Nalla Cheruvu Katta until further notice.
The Uppal Ring Road stretch towards Warangal has also been temporarily closed from Sunday morning as part of the construction activity.
Traffic Diverted At Uppal Due To Flyover Works
According to traffic police, vehicles coming from Warangal towards Hyderabad are being diverted via Mayfeel Hotel, Uppal Bhagayath, Nagole service road and the U turn beneath the flyover.
Similarly, vehicles travelling from Hyderabad towards Warangal are being diverted through Survey of India Junction, beside Pista House, Beerappa Gadda and NH 163.

Officials advised heavy vehicles, buses and lorries to avoid the Uppal Bhagayath stretch due to narrow internal roads. Instead, they have been asked to use the Outer Ring Road through Hayathnagar to prevent congestion.
Traffic police appealed to commuters to plan their travel in advance and cooperate with officials during the ongoing construction works. The elevated corridor project is expected to improve traffic flow on the busy Hyderabad to Warangal route after completion.
