Hyderabad, May 21: An electric car created panic in Vivekanandanagar Colony under Kukatpally police station limits after it allegedly lost control and rammed multiple vehicles on Wednesday afternoon.
According to police, the electric car was travelling from Vivekanandanagar towards Alvin Colony when it oversped and hit two two wheelers coming from the opposite direction. The vehicle later collided with another car before crashing into the Eruvaka Tiffin Center located across the road.
No injuries were reported in the incident. However, multiple vehicles suffered damage and parts of the tiffin center were destroyed.
Kukatpally Police Probe Electric Car Accident
Kukatpally police reached the spot soon after receiving information about the accident and took the driver into custody for questioning.
Police officials are investigating whether the accident occurred due to a technical fault in the electric car or because of driver negligence. Further details are awaited as the investigation continues.
