Hyderabad, May 30 (Maxim News): BRS Working President K.T. Rama Rao (KTR) on Friday demanded accountability from the Centre and the Union Education Ministry over the ongoing CBSE Marks Fiasco, alleging serious irregularities in the evaluation process and questioning the role of the agency involved.
KTR extended his support to Class 12 students across the country who have raised concerns over alleged discrepancies in the CBSE results. He praised students for courageously seeking transparency and fairness in a matter that directly impacts their academic and professional future.
According to KTR, students and parents have every right to demand answers when examination results determine access to higher education and career opportunities. He said the determination shown by students in questioning the evaluation process is inspiring and reflects their commitment to protecting their future.
Referring to the controversy, KTR alleged that the company at the center of the CBSE Marks Fiasco, Globarena, was also linked to the Telangana Intermediate results controversy in 2019. He claimed that despite its controversial track record, the company secured a larger assignment involving CBSE examinations.
“It is unfortunate that the same organization associated with the Telangana Intermediate results issue appears to have continued receiving major responsibilities despite past controversies,” KTR said.
Recalling the 2019 Telangana Intermediate results episode, KTR said the then BRS government acted swiftly after reports of irregularities emerged. He stated that the government constituted a three member committee to investigate the issue and implemented its recommendations. Based on the committee’s findings, officials concerned were removed from their positions and legal action was initiated against the company, he said.
KTR argued that the Telangana experience should have served as a warning. However, he alleged that CBSE failed to learn from past mistakes and continued to engage an organization whose performance had already come under scrutiny.
The BRS leader further claimed that rules and procedures were repeatedly modified to accommodate the agency. He alleged that such decisions have now affected lakhs of students and created uncertainty regarding the credibility of the evaluation process.
KTR said the issue is not merely about examination scores. Instead, it concerns the integrity of India’s education system and the trust students place in public institutions. He stressed that transparency and accountability are essential to maintaining confidence in national examination systems.
Holding the Union Government responsible for the situation, KTR demanded an explanation from the Union Education Ministry regarding the selection of agencies involved in examination management and result processing. He questioned how a company with a controversial history was entrusted with responsibilities affecting millions of students.
He also urged CBSE authorities to address all grievances promptly, review complaints fairly, and rectify any errors without delay. According to him, students should not suffer because of administrative failures or lapses in evaluation mechanisms.
Furthermore, KTR called for complete transparency in the handling of the controversy. He said authorities must disclose the steps being taken to verify results, address discrepancies, and prevent similar incidents in the future.
Reiterating his demand for accountability, KTR said the Centre, CBSE, and the Union Education Ministry must respond to the concerns raised by students and parents. He added that India’s future cannot be built on a system where incompetence goes unchecked and accountability remains absent.
“The future of this country depends on transparency, fairness and trust. Students deserve justice, and those responsible for any lapses must be held accountable,” KTR said.
The remarks come amid growing concerns among students and parents over alleged discrepancies in CBSE Class 12 results, with several students seeking clarity on the evaluation process and demanding corrective measures. (Maxim News)
