Telangana Invites Applications for TG RERA Chairman Post

Hyderabad, May 31 (Maxim News): The Telangana government has issued a notification inviting applications for the post of full time Chairman of the Telangana Real Estate Regulatory Authority (TG RERA), following the resignation of former chairman Dr. N. Satyanarayana (Retd. IAS) due to health reasons.

Hyderabad Metropolitan Area and Municipal Administration Special Chief Secretary Jayesh Ranjan has been entrusted with the additional responsibility of TG RERA Chairman until a regular appointment is made.

According to the notification, eligible and interested candidates can submit their applications on or before June 8, 2026. Applications must be sent to the office of the Special Chief Secretary, Hyderabad Metropolitan Area, Municipal Administration and Urban Development (MAUD) Department.

Eligibility for TG RERA Chairman Post

The state government said candidates who have served in the Central or State Governments as Additional Secretary or in an equivalent rank are eligible to apply for the position.

Applicants should possess at least 20 years of experience in one or more of the following fields:

  • Urban Development
  • Housing
  • Real Estate
  • Infrastructure
  • Economics
  • Planning
  • Law
  • Commerce
  • Accountancy
  • Public Administration

The appointment is being made under the provisions governing the Telangana Real Estate Regulatory Authority, which oversees the regulation and promotion of the real estate sector in the state.

The selected candidate will receive a monthly salary of Rs 1.50 lakh, along with a house rent allowance of Rs 50,000. The chairman will also be entitled to an official vehicle and other facilities as per government norms.

The recruitment process comes at a crucial time as TG RERA continues to play a key role in protecting homebuyers’ interests, ensuring transparency in the real estate sector and regulating real estate projects across Telangana.
