Hyderabad, June 1 (Maxim News): The Telangana government has invited applications for the Chief Minister’s Overseas Scholarship Scheme 2026 for minority students.
The scheme will support eligible students who secured admission to postgraduate or PhD courses in foreign universities during the Spring 2026 season.
Students who received admission between January 1, 2026, and June 30, 2026, can apply under the scheme. The Minorities Welfare Department issued the notification and opened the application process for eligible candidates.
Online applications will open on June 1, 2026. Students can submit their applications through the Telangana ePass portal before 5 pm on June 30, 2026.
Applicants must visit the official website, telanganaepass.cgg.gov.in, and complete the registration process within the deadline. Moreover, candidates should ensure that all details match their admission and academic records.
In addition, students must submit hard copies of the required documents to their respective District Minorities Welfare Offices on or before July 31, 2026.
Officials have made original academic transcripts mandatory for verification. Furthermore, parents must accompany applicants while submitting the documents at the district office.
The department stated that the scholarship aims to help minority students pursue higher education at reputed international universities. Therefore, eligible candidates should complete both the online and offline procedures within the specified timelines.
Meanwhile, officials advised students to carefully review the eligibility criteria, approved countries, qualification requirements, and selection procedure available on the Telangana ePass portal before applying.
