He also criticised remarks made by some Telangana leaders against Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan.

Speaking on the issue, Chandrababu Naidu said democracy gives every citizen the right to participate in politics anywhere in the country.

He pointed out that political leaders often campaign outside their home states and cited examples of leaders participating in elections across different regions.

The Chief Minister noted that the BRS had earlier projected itself as a national party and questioned the need for what he described as unnecessary political controversies.

Referring to the relationship between Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, Chandrababu said it has been 12 years since the two states were formed and stressed that efforts to revive regional differences were not beneficial.

He said Telugu people have achieved recognition globally and should remain united irrespective of state boundaries.

The Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister maintained that creating divisions between regions would not help either state and urged leaders to focus on development and public welfare instead.
