New Delhi, June 20: Cockroach Janta Party founder Abhijeet Dipke claimed on Saturday that police might arrest him during the ongoing protest at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi and urged supporters to continue the demonstration.
In a video released from the protest site, Dipke alleged that action was being initiated against him. However, he appealed to participants not to end the protest and to continue raising issues faced by students.
Jantar Mantar Protest Over Exam Issues Intensifies
Earlier, Delhi Police declined permission to extend the protest at Jantar Mantar. Despite this, Dipke maintained that he would continue the demonstration until action was taken on their demands, including accountability over examination related concerns.
The protest drew students and supporters who raised allegations of examination irregularities, paper leaks and delays affecting aspirants. Protesters carried placards and used plates and spoons as symbolic tools during the demonstration.
Police is about to arrest me. I appeal to you to not stop this peaceful protest nationwide even if I am arrested! pic.twitter.com/P7ljEJkCzP

Addressing supporters, Dipke urged authorities to allow the gathering to continue, stating that students from across the country had assembled peacefully to seek justice.
The demonstration witnessed slogans demanding accountability from the government and renewed calls seeking the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan over concerns related to examination management.
Participants said they joined the protest to express frustration over recurring controversies and to support broader calls for transparency in examinations.
I request all Delhi people to come to Jantar Mantar by 6 PM.

Ahead of the event, Dipke had also written an open letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi seeking accountability on issues raised by students.
The protest follows earlier demonstrations organised by the group on similar concerns related to examinations and opportunities for students and job aspirants.
