Delhi/Hyderabad, june 23 (Maxim News): Union Minority Affairs Minister George Kurian has resigned from his post. He submitted his resignation as a minister after his Rajya Sabha membership expired. However, the BJP party did not express its willingness to give him a Rajya Sabha seat again.
Due to this, he had to leave his post. President Murmu accepted Kurian’s resignation, the Rashtrapati Bhavan said on Tuesday. He was also made a minister for the Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying. President Murmu accepted his resignation on the instructions of Prime Minister Modi. George Kurien is the only Christian minister in the Union Cabinet. His Rajya Sabha term ended on June 21. (Maxim News)
