Hyderabad, June 27: Government Adviser Mohammed Ali Shabbir on Saturday said the Congress Government was giving top priority to education and strengthening minority residential institutions to provide quality learning opportunities for students across Telangana.
He was speaking after inaugurating two newly constructed minority residential educational institutions in Adilabad town. The Minority Gurukul Boys 2 School and Junior College Residential School were built by the Minority Welfare Department at a cost of Rs 20 crore each.
The inauguration was attended by Ministers Jupally Krishna Rao and Mohammed Azharuddin, TGMREIS President Faheem Qureshi, TGMFC Chairman Mohd Obedullah Kothwal, Adilabad MP Godam Nagesh, MLAs Vedma Bojju and Payal Shankar, MLC Kandi Srinivas Reddy, Minority Welfare Department Secretary B Shafiullah and other public representatives and officials.
Addressing the gathering, Shabbir Ali said the government was expanding educational access for students from economically weaker minority communities. He said modern infrastructure, hostels, free education, meals, books and uniforms were being provided through residential institutions.
He said education remains the foundation of social progress and urged students to pursue higher education and build careers in medicine, engineering, civil services, science and other professional fields.
Shabbir Ali said the government was implementing focused initiatives in minority welfare and planned to create more opportunities in education, employment, skill development and self employment.
Minister Mohammed Azharuddin said the State Government under Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy was strengthening residential educational institutions across Telangana to provide equal opportunities for disadvantaged students.
Minister Jupally Krishna Rao said Gurukul institutions were helping shape students’ futures by offering education, accommodation and essential facilities under one system.
TGMREIS President Faheem Qureshi said efforts were continuing to improve academic standards and provide better learning environments in minority residential institutions.
After the inauguration, the dignitaries inspected classrooms, hostels, dining facilities and interacted with students.
