Hyderabad, June 29: A laser lights incident triggered concern at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport in Shamshabad after a Lufthansa flight arriving from Frankfurt reportedly experienced laser beams directed toward the cockpit during landing preparations late Sunday night.
According to airport sources, the pilot remained alert and safely landed the aircraft without any incident.
After landing, the pilot informed Air Traffic Control authorities about the occurrence.

Airport authorities and security agencies have launched an investigation into the incident.
Officials are examining CCTV footage and technical evidence to identify the location from where the laser lights were allegedly directed.
Authorities said laser lights can temporarily affect a pilot’s vision and create serious safety risks, particularly during aircraft takeoff and landing operations.
ATC officials stated that such activity is treated as a serious aviation safety concern and warned that strict action could be taken against those found responsible.
