Hyderabad, July 9: Twenty six students of the Tribal Welfare Boys Gurukul School at Mannanur in Amrabad mandal of Nagarkurnool district fell seriously ill on Thursday in a suspected food poisoning incident.
According to initial reports, the students developed health complications after eating breakfast at the school. The Gurukul staff immediately shifted them to the Government Hospital in Achampet for treatment.
Some students alleged that the school was not providing adequate drinking water, raising concerns over the hostel’s basic facilities.
Authorities are monitoring the condition of the students, while the exact cause of the suspected food poisoning is yet to be confirmed.
