India’s 3rd Largest Plastics Expo HIPLEX 2026 to Be Held in Hyderabad from August 7

Hyderabad: Hyderabad is set to host HIPLEX 2026 – International Plastics Expo, India’s third-largest plastics industry exhibition, from August 7 to 10 at the HITEX Exhibition Centre.

Organised by the Telangana and Andhra Plastics Manufacturers Association (TAAPMA), the four-day expo is being held with the support of the Department of Chemicals & Petrochemicals, Ministry of Chemicals & Fertilizers, Government of India, the Government of TelanganaCIPET, and several leading plastics industry associations.

Largest-Ever Edition of HIPLEX

Themed “The Rise of Atmanirbhar & Viksit Bharat in Amrit Kaal: Invest to Transform,” HIPLEX 2026 will showcase the latest innovations in plastics manufacturing, processing machinery, raw materials, recycling technologies, packaging solutions, and finished products.

The exhibition is being expanded from 17,000 sq. metres in 2023 to 26,000 sq. metres, making it the largest edition of HIPLEX to date.

The previous edition attracted 480 exhibitors and more than 41,600 business visitors.

Recycling Pavilion to Highlight Sustainable Innovations

One of the key attractions of HIPLEX 2026 will be a dedicated Recycling Pavilion, showcasing sustainable solutions and innovative products made from recycled plastic.

Visitors will learn how 25 plastic bottles can be recycled into a T-shirt and explore products such as plastic roads, bricks, railway sleepers, houses, benches, and bus shelters made from recycled plastic.

The expo will also feature live machinery demonstrations, interactive knowledge sessions, business networking opportunities, and discussions on investment and technology partnerships.

Industry Leaders Expected to Participate

Speaking about the event, Meela Jayadev, Convener of HIPLEX 2026, said the plastics industry remains a key driver of India’s manufacturing growth and that the expo will provide a platform for technology transfer, investment, and business expansion.

The organisers expect hundreds of exhibitors and tens of thousands of trade visitors, including manufacturers from the packaging, automotive, infrastructure, healthcare, agriculture, consumer goods, and industrial sectors.

With its strong industrial ecosystem and strategic location, Hyderabad continues to emerge as a major hub for the plastics and polymer industry in South India.

HIPLEX 2026 is expected to generate significant business opportunities, encourage technology adoption, and strengthen collaborations across the plastics sector.
