Amaravati, August 9: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has called for a mass movement to involve citizens in nation building.
He directed officials to design the Partners in Nation Building programme around public participation. The initiative will support the goals of Viksit Bharat and Swarna Andhra by 2047.
Naidu said the programme will begin on August 15. The launch will coincide with India’s Independence Day celebrations as the country enters its 80th year of Independence.
The Chief Minister said every citizen should understand their role in the country’s development. He also urged people to set personal and community goals linked to the 2047 vision.
Naidu seeks wider public role in 2047 vision
Naidu directed officials to ensure that every household hoists the national flag from August 13 to 15. He said the programme should promote the message of “My Nation, Nation First” across Andhra Pradesh.
He also asked officials to create opportunities for young people and students to contribute to development. According to him, their ideas, skills and energy can support the state’s future growth.
Furthermore, Naidu suggested creating village level platforms for emerging leaders. He also called for the revival of voluntary service in rural communities.
The Chief Minister said citizens should move beyond the role of welfare beneficiaries. Instead, he wants them to become active stakeholders in shaping Andhra Pradesh’s future.
He asked officials to design activities with direct public participation. The government should also track progress towards the 2047 goals.
Naidu directed officials to submit progress reports every August 15. He said the annual review would help measure public participation and development efforts.
The Chief Minister said the programme should gradually grow into a statewide mass movement. Its wider aim is to build public awareness and encourage citizens to take part in nation building.
