Internet/Hyderabad, Aug 12 (Maxim News): The legacy of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose is about to come to the political stage. Bose’s great-grandson Chandra Kumar Bose is ready to form a new political party. He announced that he will launch a new political platform named ‘Azad hind party’. He said that he will move forward with the inclusive and secular ideology followed by Netaji, making the youth the main force.
Chandrakumar Bose said that the recent Gen-G protests in Delhi were the main reason for his decision. He mentioned the protests taken up by the youth at Jantar Mantar over the NEET-UG 2026 question paper leak. He said that there is growing dissatisfaction among the youth with the governments and institutions. Bose alleged that corruption has increased in many sectors including politics, education, health and industry across the country. He said that the youth, who are fed up with the current political system, need a separate political platform to fight for their rights.
That is why he revealed that he is forming a party inspired by Netaji Azad Hind Fauj. Chandrakumar Bose joined the BJP in 2016. He remained in the party for seven years. He said that although he promised to form an ‘Azad Hind Morcha’ to propagate Netaji’s ideologies, it did not materialize. He had previously commented that joining the BJP was his mistake. He joined the TMC before the West Bengal assembly elections in April 2026.
He said that he thought there would be an opportunity to work on Netaji’s ideology. However, he resigned from the party after four months. On August 3, he wrote a letter to Mamata Banerjee stating that he was leaving due to personal reasons. (Maxim News)
