Hyderabad, August 12: A constable posted at the LB Nagar police station died by suicide at the LB Nagar ACP office early Wednesday.
Police identified him as J. Saikumar, PC 13128, from the 2024 batch. He was attached to the ACP office for e Cops duty.
The incident reportedly occurred around 2.30 am. Police said Saikumar was found unresponsive in a restroom at the ACP office.
Police immediately shifted him to Kamineni Hospital. However, doctors declared him dead on arrival.
Police Probe Constable’s Death
Saikumar was posted at LB Nagar police station and lived with friends in a room at Karmanghat.
Police have not yet determined the reason behind his death. An investigation is underway to establish the circumstances surrounding the incident.
Meanwhile, Saikumar’s family members staged a protest outside the LB Nagar police station following his death.
Police are gathering further information as part of the investigation.
